A note of Thanks

Hi,

Here's just a very brief 'note of thanks' for your support on yesterdays ride.

Kyah and I managed to make the whole distance into Wollongong safe and sound and we both had a blast along the way.

Thanks to contributions like yours we raised $355 and I believe there is more to come. Not a bad effort!

As a reminder, your money will be put to use by MS Australia to help current suffers of MS cope with the disease as well as funding research into a cure.

It's been quite an education. I didn'… Continue

Just $40 away from Target

The city to gong ride is fast approaching. I know this is a little off topic for a business networking site but I figure that its never been a better time to reach out to your network and ask for a little help.

Support a very worthy cause

http://register.gongride.org.au/?davebirchall

My daughter and I are riding 60 km to Wollongong in November to support MS. Actually she is two, so I'll be doing the riding and she will be saying 'faster daddy.' Please help me to raise funds for a very worthy cause. Maybe, just maybe, it will help me haul a 14 kg toddler (plus my own excess body weight) up some very steep hills....

Did you know?

* The average age of diagnosis of MS is just 30 years

* MS affects three times as many women as men… Continue

How to become memorable

One of the members got in touch to get some tips on getting more from the site. As I wrote my reply, I I thought this might be worth sharing here too.

The best advice I can give you is (believe it or not) not to sell your services on the the site. Let people get to know you as a person before they get to know you for your professsional services. By becoming memorable you are front of mind when they inevitably meet one of your potential customers.

Hi Dave

I'm still giggling over your questions is the Sydney Social Media Club some secret society?

You may be aware, however stopping by in case you've missed it, but one of the organizers has left all the Social Media Club details in a follow up to your question.

Thanks for stopping by, it was great to hear from you.

Hi Dave, thanks for having me on this site and your response via Anthill. Apologies for the delayed response; I wanted some free, reasonably-awake time before responding (I too have a young family!). Happy to chat about my thing at some point. Our little girl is having a birthday party today so tomorrow I'll sit down and get a proper feel for this site. Cheers, Brendon.
