How I used Twitter to put a CEO on the street

WAIT! I’m not here to evangelise Twitter or to pick news items out of it merely because it seems to be a slow news day. There’s enough of that out there already. The merits of Twitter still need to be demonstrated to me. To me, it seems like the digital equivalent of entering a sports arena full of people all shouting random things at the top of their voice in the hope that someone is listening. This goes against the very basics of marketing - segment then target.

What I’d like to share with yo… Continue

Keeping high priority cost savings initiatives out of the too hard basket.

Successful Business owners and senior managers share an ‘efficiency mindset’. In everything they do, they seek the most cost effective method and look to maximize ROI at every stage. Following on from the Global Financial crisis, managers have been put under unprecedented pressure to lean up their business and every cent of every dollar of expenditure has been put under scrutiny. This flurry of cost reduction activity has caused some senior managers to become somewhat over excited. The mindset h… Continue

What do you get when you combine BPA with ultra accelerated software development?

I say, I say…

Whilst this sounds like the start of a really weird Tommy Cooper joke, there’s also serious side to this question and it could be the saving grace for a lot of Australian Businesses as conditions are widely speculated to worsen in the short to mid term.

I’ve had a really interesting and busy few weeks which is why I’ve fallen quiet on the blogging front and I’ll tell you why…

Solentive’s growth has come about largely through network marketing and word of mouth referrals, but giv… Continue

Use technology to do more with less

A business is often only considered as good as its processes and procedures but all too often this can get neglected as other seemingly more important tasks compete for our attention.

Interestingly, the very act of documenting our processes is step towards automating some of those business processes and decreasing our reliance on individual staff members. A sound approach towards business process mapping, whilst considering factors such as scalability and repeatability, combined with the right… Continue

I'm Sydney born and bred and have spent the larger part of my life living and working - and playing - in Sydney, so I hope that counts for something. And I do visit from time to time :)

Hi Dave,

Nice to meet you!

I am looking to network with people to gain a wider perspective to gain an insight of the different people, businesses, skills, and new technologies across many different fields.

Also, if its not within my limits, I would like to give people input for their ideas and I would love to share the different ambitions and ideas that I have in mind. Some of my ideas lie in the area of Health and Nutrition, Environmental, International trade, IT, medical, security, etc.

Currently I'm taking part in a networking business and my method of growth is to learn and train associates the skills in the area of sales, personal development, goal setting, etc.

I'm really into the personal development so I would love to contribute by offering solutions that people could adapt to possibly change their lives :)
